Water Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH)
In order to improve on their hygiene, the communities are encouraged to take up personal hygiene very important by providing hand washing mechanisms systems in order to maintain personal hygiene.
Environmental Protection and Management
In the different activities carried out, we mainly implement programs that aim at creating awareness and training the people on how to preserve their habitats
Education
Education is one of the most important rights for children. FIST through various stake holders support education for those with less opportunity and train different schools in WASH and Agricultural related activities like Local poultry rearing and piggery.
Humanitarian Activities
Besides other humanitarian activities, FIST is very much concerned with refugees.
Counselling, educating, training, provision of material and non-material items, provision of health related support and settling of the affected people from different areas of Africa is our main concern.
Demonstrations
Through demonstration, one learns a lot even with no hand written notes. This is done in different areas like farm visits to show how the seedlings are grown and transplanted to the mother gardens for various fruits and trees.
Training
Communities are trained in different displines so as to acquire some skills like knitting baskets, mats as away creating some little income for themselves. Environmental conservation, agriculture and many others.
